3D Star Garland - Tutorial - Supplies List

If you love shimmering, homemade Christmas Decorations, then this DIY 3D star garland is something you will love! I adore Christmas and all the cozy, fun and aesthetic decorations that come with it, and every year I experiments with new designs inspired by both interior and fashion trends as well as classic Christmas motifs.

The 3D star garland is fairly easy to create, and a great beginner sewing project for the newbies! You can enjoy this garland year round and make a variety of shapes and color depending on the season!

With this guide you'll get a materials list and then a youtube tutorial packed with tips and tricks to create these beautiful garlands! You can easily change the look of the garland by using different paper colors and shapes.

List Of Supplies:

  • Shimmer Paper - I ordered 3 different colors to create variety, and I absolutely love the extra shimmer/glitter this paper adds to my garland!
  • Star Punch - Here is my favorite star punch, but linking the other one I have here as well.
  • Sewing Machine - If you're looking for something basic but sturdy that will do the job for someone getting into sewing, Singer has a great starter option to get you started. It also offers a button hole and zig-zag stitch types that I use often for home sewing projects and to sew apparel!
  • Sewing Needles - These are the universal sewing needles I order in bulk to have on hand at all times. I use these for everything and having a lot on hand has saved me in a pinch more than I can count. I cannot tell you how many times having these on hand have bailed me out to finish a late night sewing project or craft!

Here is the youtube tutorial for you to reference once you have all your materials and are ready to get started!
